From Northants Police: 22/11/2006 POLICE in Daventry are hoping that this pendant may provide vital clues to the identity of the man whose body was found in fields at Cuttle Mill, between Towcester and Paulerspury just off the A5, at the weekend. The pendant was discovered tied to the wrist of the dead man, believed to be aged in his thirties and of Polish origin or with a Polish connection, and has been subjected to forensic examination. The pendant measures 5cms by 5cms and is quite weighty, tipping the scales at around an ounce. It was being worn as a bracelet and is quite distinctive. It is metallic and its front is embossed with the design of a jug coupled with what could be an ear of wheat or maybe a bunch of grapes or a tree. At the top of the pendant are three prongs which could represent a handle or a fork. Detective Sergeant John Austin, who is leading this inquiry, said: "The pendant is very distinctive and I would like to hear from anyone who recognises what it represents in the hope that it will help us build a picture of this man's identity. "We are carrying out research around the pendant via the Internet and relevant authorities but I hope that someone recognises what this pendant signfiies and comes forward with this information."
