Your chance to feedback to the council on transport plans

South Northants council is asking local people to complete a questionnaire to help them plan transport services in Towcester for the future. This is YOUR chance to stop a Towcester bypass happening. Please click here to read more on the council's own website. In essence South Northants council would like local people's views about how to decrease pollution in Towcester town centre. They want to know how the council can decrease pollution since a bypass is not an option "in the short term". (NB they have NOT cancelled their plans for a bypass, but there is a question about it, and you can help say NO to an unnecessary bypass which would damage the environment).
As villagers of Pury End and Paulerpury, most people reading this will have to drive or travel through Towcester on a regular basis. Clearly the A5 does slow down going through the town, but it only ever takes 5 minutes to get from the racecourse to the roundabout past Tesco. A better solution to a bypass would be to stop people parking along the A5 through the town.
